After hosting over 75 people in Fairbanks, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE planning future trips!
The prices for the Aurora Retreat include transportation, accommodations, and a personal driver, me. Additionally, I offer personal assistance in planning your adventures including packing for subzero temperatures, dressing appropriately for the conditions and staying safe.
We will also head out to nightly Aurora chases, weather permitting. You’ll receive all the assistance you need to stay safe and comfortable, as well as tips for learning Dark Sky Photography. This trip is designed to be casual and fun! By the end of our journey, everyone will be friends and feel bonded through the magical moments captured only in Alaska!
While we cannot control the weather, the likelihood of witnessing the Northern Lights is historically greater in the month of March. I have intentionally selected these dates to increase the chances of seeing the lights and it is usually a bit warmer
Stay at a full-sized home North of Fairbanks with great Northern Lights views. You will have access to a full kitchen, a completely flexible schedule, and a full-time driver (me).
Our schedule will be fluid, and we will do with the flow unless adventures are previously arranged. We will be doing some local sightseeing and photography options.
I will be in Fairbanks for a few days after my group trips. I am available for private or nightly tours from March 18th to 22nd. If you’re not interested in a group trip but still want to visit Fairbanks and stay at your own accommodations, this is a great time to start planning.
Additionally, I can assist with Dark Sky Photography skills. I have experience teaching the basics of photographing the aurora and would be happy to chat with you beforehand to ensure you have everything you need. One-on-one tutorials are available if needed.
Feel free to email me if you are interested and we can discuss the details. There is a discount for mutli night tours.
I am always excited to host my Aurora retreats and bring people up to see the amazing Aurora! Local friends consider me a "seasonal local"!
I have spent over 21 weeks in Fairbanks during the winter and have extensive knowledge of the area, including some hidden gems, to provide you with a true Alaskan experience.
Over the years, I have gained a local perspective on Fairbanks and the Aurora. While I'm not an expert on space weather, I know how to make sure everyone has an memorable experience and is set up for a fabulous time! I also have knowledge of some hidden gems, as well as the best shopping locations and cool places to visit.
When you come to Fairbanks, be prepared for plenty of laughter, dinners with locals, some education about space science, and lots of amazing adventures around Fairbanks and experienceing the magical Aurora Borealis.

Hey, I'm Aimee!
If you have a small group or a family who wants a personal guide to help you plan your trip and take you to different locations to see the Aurora, I can do that, too.
